Audi introduced an allraod quattro version of its A4 model. Consumers can now choose from two diesel and one gasoline engines. All of these engines are direct-injected and turbocharged. The allroad quattro version also features Audi’s drive select, S-tronic dual-clutch transmission, and on-board power regeneration system.
The Audi A4 Allroad Quattro converts mechanical power to electricity whenever it decelerates. This translates to a reduced load on the alternator.
On top of the power regeneration system, all three Audi engines are also Euro 5 compliant. The 2- and 3- liter diesel TDI engines come with a six-speed manual transmission. Meanwhile, the 2.0-liter TFSI engine, on the other hand, comes with a seven-speed S-tronic transmission.
All Audi A4 Allroad Quattro versions are designed as permanent all-wheel drives. It houses a purely mechanical center differential which puts more power on the rear wheels, distributing 40:60 ratio of power with the front axle.
